This isn't a major problem but it is annoying. When I go to some internet sites, photos are not showing up. For instance, there is an artist site where she posts her pics. Only some of them show up - unlike other sites no red Xs show up indicating the reference fiile is bad. Just for the heck of it, I clicked the spot where the photo should be and properties shows there is an image there. Checked with her and she says no one else is complaining. This has happened on a few other sites. Checked my internet options and graphics display is checked.

    Any ideas?

Can you post a link for the problematic site?

artful--What happens when you right click on one of the lost images and click "Show Pictures "? If you get the picture I think you may have a server problem which hopefully is temporary. Also have you tried cleaning out your Temporary Internet Files folder lately?
P.S. I see all the pictures on that site OK, and my ActiveX control settings (which could be a problem) are quite high.

Verify that Show Pictures has not been turned off in Internet Explorer:
On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Click the Advanced tab, and then verify that the Show Pictures check box is selected under Multimedia.
    Click OK.

Make sure scripting, ActiveX controls, cookies, and Java applets are enabled in Internet Explorer. To do so, follow these steps:
On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Click the Security tab, and then click Default Level (if it is available) for the zone which contains the Web page (for example, Internet).
If you are using Internet Explorer 6, click the Privacy tab, and then click Default (if it is available).

I didn't have any trouble seeing the pictures. Do you use any ad blocker software? Or Norton?

    unsolicited comment:
The artist is talented, and paints compelling scenes, but I suspect she would benefit from antidepressants. Awesome power in her work.
