Question slow response to clicking and scrolling

A problem has suddenly appeared when I use the internet......the response on screen to my clicks and scrolling are a few seconds delayed and even as I type this tread the letters don't come up in time with the keys but several key types later.......

The problem is very noticable on some web sites like e-bay.......when I use the computer for other stuff ie documents etc the problem isn't there....only there on the internet.....

It wasn't like this until recently.....how can I solve this???

MY thoughts here.

I am having the same type of problem this morning.

I had it earlier. It left. But came back. And it changes with various sites. Some are OK others are not.

But it is not your machine. Or may not be anyway.

I would make no attempt at a repair unless the problem continues indeffintely.

It is ( I believe ) just due to a heavily loaded Web in general.

One thing the seems to help ( but may be just coincidence ) is to clear the Temp Internet files.

I think sometimes the problem my be cause by a bad URL in the TIF.

Thanks for that Billy Bob. I'll try your suggestion....I have this problem for around 3 weeks now and it doesn't go away when I'm on line at all.

Is the problem constant no matter where you go on the Internet ?

And does it react differently at different times of the day ?

Are you on Cable, DSL or Dial-up connection ?

The answers may help others come up with other ideas.

If I am having some sort of Internet related problem on this machine I go to another to see what happens there. And MOST of the time I do get the same reaction. If I do then I know for sure that it is not my machine.

I have tried you suggestion PeteC and cleared the forms and password information in the Auto-Complete History but it is still the same....
It seems to happen more on sites where an input is required.... like this site and e-bay.....viewing normal web sites, where I am just looking it doesn't seem to be a problem........
I am too much of a novice to start tampering with the registry.....
