Thumbs down Weird Outlook Express Problem Pissing me off!@

This has happened twice now. I opened Outlook Express and received about 10 new e-mails. At that precise moment, my computer froze. When I restarted, those e-mails were no where to be found. Not in the "Deleted" folder nor in the Inbox. Any way to recover those e-mails or prevent it from happening again? Thanks

I dont think you can get those back. But until you get it fixed, open OE, tools, accounts, highlight your email account, properties, advanced tab. Then put a checkmark in "leave copy on server".
You can try repairing IE(OE tied to it). Go to add/remove programs in control panel. Highlight your version of IE, click add/remove, then select repair.

There's no need to "bump" if you are going to reply. A reply will send your post to the top.

Right-click "Leave a copy of messages on server" , left click "What's This?". There's an explanation there.

If you system crashes again. There will be a copy left on the server next time you go to retrieve your email. It won't get deleted until you delete it.

EDIT:
This is also a method that users use if they access their email from different computers. That way all mail is downloaded regardless what computer they use.
