OK...here's an odd question...today, our TAB key changed its purpose all on its own! Suddenly, if you hit the TAB key (for instance, while entering info. on a form on an internet page), it will take you to whatever other program window you may have open...if I'm on the net, and entering info., hit TAB, and I'm in Outlook Express, if it's open! It's like a switch...it also seemed to switch icons on the desktop to highlighted/not highlighted if the cursor was sitting on one. I restarted the computer, and it's not doing the switch, but if I hit TAB while on any screen (not while entering info. on forms), it highlights each item in the bottom toolbar, one at a time...is this normal? I've never tried hitting the Tab at this time, so I've never noticed before. Is this a keyboard problem coming on, or a glitch in cyberspace somewhere? Thanks for any insight!

Tap the Alt key(s) a few times. That should take care of it.

Do you have Accessability enabled by any chance? Accessability has this feature called Sticky Keys. If you press Alt and then let go and then press Tab, it'll act like you've hit Alt+Tab at the same time.

    Sticky Keys

Thanks, but I have no idea where to look for "accessibility" or "Sticky Keys "...??? The TAB thingy cleared up on restarting, so far.

You can go to accessibility options in control panel (the icon that looks like a wheel chair)after you open the applet on the keyboard tab uncheck the box "Use sticky keys "
