What kind of verification would you like?

I'm rather certain Microsoft doesn't make these things up;)

Click the link to the download page and check if you can choose other languages than English and Japanese. I need it in Swedish. I get notification via automatic updates which indicates that it shuld be there, somewhere.

That is for IE9 on Windows Server 2008 but yes, all other versions of Internet Explorer on any platform get KB2846071 in multiple language versions, with the exception of IE8 on Windows XP SP3. I don't think Microsoft made it up, they made a mistake with the links, I guess.

Edited: The link you gave provide more language versions than English and Japanese but still not Swedish.

The English version worked on my Swedish system. Maybe Microsoft have started saving some time and money if the update does not affect the language?

The only difference would be that they would package the files in a different installer (with the language indicator).

As long as there are no text strings in the files (that are presented to a user), all Windows files are the same.

The easy way to avoid any confusion on your part is to go to Windows Update, let it detect what is needed and get it over with. It's pretty painless :D

Now it's back to normal with multiple language choices. I suspect a hand full of fat fingers ... ;) ... !

What happens sometimes is that it takes time for specific Microsoft servers to update with all the choices available. If you connect to a certain Microsoft site you will 'get' to a different server then someone connecting from another country.
