    I have an office network with 2 XPP and one Win7 Pro machines.

    On the Win7 machine when I attempt to log into http://www.bridgeforcefinancialonline.ca/Submissions.aspx

    I am getting an error page after entering my UN & PW.
    On both XP machines I am able to log in without problem.

    In Firefox, the layout of the page is left oriented and the page stye (css) appears broken. The page looks fine in IE 9 but I still get the error on the Win7 machine.

    Turning off Windows firewall has no effect.

    Is this a problem on my machine or the actual website?

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    It looks like the problem lies with the website design. The login page looks fine in IE, but not in Firefox or Chrome.

    (Note that without our own UN & PW we will not be able to get beyond the login page).

    Thanks Dr. It's not possible to log in as the client information within the site is confidential. The site's owner has been contacted and we are awaiting a response

    You're welcome.

    I figured as much. I believe it was your statement "I am getting an error page after entering my UN & PW." that prompted me to add my Note.

    The site may have been designed to work with IE only.

    The site will only function as intended in IE because it was made using Microsoft Visual Studio 7, a very old version. Visual Studio 7 is a 2002 product, ideally for Internet Explorer 5.x. From the site source code:
    <meta content= "Microsoft Visual Studio 7.0" name= "GENERATOR ">

    On the Windows 7 computer (IE9) you may have to use IE Compatibility View for the site to function properly.

    Well Done!

    On thos XP computers, be sure that they are using IE8 if only for heightened security. Many XP systems are still using IE6 or IE7. If use IE8 then may have to also use Compatibility View too.
