I just installed IE10, but it won't display images. IE9 did without a problem.

If the Show Pictures option in Internet Explorer is turned off, you won't see pictures on a webpage. Here's how to make sure it's turned on:

Click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.

    Click the Advanced tab.

Scroll to the Multimedia section, and then select the Show Pictures check box.

    Click OK.

    Hi Bill,

I'd already been there and done that before I started the thread ... no luck.

Is this with All Web pages? Have you tried Compatibality View and see if it works?

I've tried everything I can think of, but IE10 simply will NOT display images.

In truth, I seldom use IE, opening it only when a website will not display properly in Firefox (v19.0), my default browser. So, I uninstalled IE10, and will continue to use IE9 when necessary.

For anyone using Win 7 who may find it necessary to uninstall IE10, it's not listed as a program, but as a Windows update.
Open Control Panel > Programs and Features.

In the upper left-hand corner, click on View installed updates.

In the Microsoft Windows section, right-click on Internet Explorer 10 and select Uninstall (the only option available).

After completing the uninstall and rebooting, IE9 will be back in place (and displaying images).

Even though I was unable to solve the problem with IE10, I'm going to mark the thread as resolved.

JSS3rd, my sincere thanks for your entry to delete Microsoft updates. I followed your instructions and it does indeed remove the MS Update, I have searched for years for this uninstall procedure.

I had the same problem in IE10. I got it show images by Navigating to: Tools\Internet Options\Security\Custom Level\Miscellaneous\Display Mixed Content then enabled it. Click OK then click on Apply and then click OK.

Mine is set as Prompt and haven't had any problems. Think that is Default as I have not changed it. Of course, that could be what the Dr. ordered. :D
