Resolved frontlines:fuel of war (it IS a hardware related problem)

    i'm having a problem running this game on my pc here is my pc specs

    Manufacturer: ECS
    Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+ (2 CPUs), ~3.0GHz
    Memory: 3582MB RAM
    Hard Drive: 1 TB
    Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285 (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM v1.1) (i do have the lastest driver)
    Monitor: HP w2207h
    Sound Card: Speakers (C-Media USB Headphone Set )
    Speakers/Headphones: Logitech
    Keyboard: USB Root Hub
    Mouse: Logitech MX518
    Mouse Surface: Table
    Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit (6.1, Build 7600) (7600.win7_rtm.090713-1255)
    Motherboard: ECS

    system requirements to run the game are:

    Minimum:
    Supported OS: Windows XP (32/64) or Windows Vista (32/64)
    Processor: Intel Pentium 2.8HT or AMD Athlon 2800+
    Memory: 768MB/1GB for Vista
    Graphics: nVidia 6800GT (SM3) or ATI X800XT (SM2) w/ Latest applicable video drivers
    DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0
    Sound: AC '97 or equivalent DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card
    Hard Drive: 12 GB
    Internet: Broadband connection (min upload 768K for hosting games)

    does anyone have any ideas as to why my CPU is running at 100% and it locks up when i try to run it

    You say it is a hardware problem, may I ask what THQ or others have said to lead you to this conclusion?

    i'm lead to believe it is my CPU throttling, but if you have others ideas i'd love to hear them
    i've solved my problem it seems i didnt have the latest GFX driver after all but i do now and its working fine

    i didnt go to THQ that was gonna be my next step if you guys coudnt provide an answer, i downloaded the driver as an after thought, you know just in case.

    You are using Windows 7 which is not in the list of supported OS's, might that be contributing to the problem?

    But, if all is fixed, you can mark the thread as resolved from the 'Thread Tools' tab in the top right hand corner just above the first post.
