Running Media player through my stereo

How can I set up my stereo so that I can play music from my computer through it. I have Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit. My computer is a Gateway DX 4200.

Line out (Usually 3.5mm Jack) from computer to line in (usually Phono) stereo.

Any good?

OK, but if you like your amp don't feed headphone out to line in, I've been warned about this in the past but don't ask me for details (some sound guru may chip in here )

Okay. I just have to get behind my computer to look for the line out.
