[HP 2410xi Photosmart all-in-1 won't scan after installing 2nd HP printer]

Please help, I added a HP photosmart 7260 photo printer to my PC, already had a hp psc 2410xi photosmart all-in-one printer, scanner, copier and faxer installed. Now I can't scan anything with the scanner all-in-one. I get an error message saying, " An unexpected internal error has occured. Click OK to close program and then try one of the following. Restart the page, Restart PC, Reinstall the photo and Imaging software and try again." I've done all the above and then some. Contacted HP, tried all their "Help", including uninstalling and reinstalling the ports and still the same message. It worked before, so I know it works. Everything else works, copier, faxer, printer, just won't scan. Please help!

I would uninstall all software related to HP and do a restart afterwards. Then I would install the software again from scratch and connect the device to the computer only when prompted to. Most of the time this way make things work again.
