I would like suggestions on what sort of router to buy for wireless connections in our house. There are several choices of types g, n etc as well as several brands.
We have a medium size 3 story house (counting basement). do not use games. I use Comcast cable as ISP.
Not sure what else affects choices.
Thanks
Jorjab

Will be looking into which to buy. Did know N the latest and greatest but not sure I need to have it and had read somewhere that maybe not going to be that final in what is offered.
I sure wish there would not be such a smorgasbord of choices in everything out there.
N was touted as being more than twice as powerful(?) as G. Some don't appear to live up to that claim. It might also depend on the transmitting antenna on the remote computer. Laptops tend to have good built-in attennas (check if it is G or N). If you need to get an adapter for the remote machine, I would suggest one with an aerial rather than just a small USB plug-in.
I have a Belkin G system. In a solid brick-walled building the range seems quite small.
If you are only going to use it around your home, you might want to consider getting an Ethernet over Power system. They overcome the range problem and avoid putting in ethernet cables.
