Hello padre2 and welcome to the Board

Drivers are not in Add/Remove.

Right click My computer > Properties > Hardware > Device Manager bar.

You are now in Device manager where your hardware is listed.

Expand (+) Ports (COM & LPT).

Right click Printer Port (LPT1) > Properties > Driver tab > Uninstall.

I'm modifying your title to reflect specifically your question and moving the thread to the Hardware section.

Did it,still have problem

Thanks for prompt reply.Did it. May be not my problem. I'll explain more
I have Canon PultiPASS Suite.4.20a print/copy/fax/scanner. Need to remove from my add or remove programs inorder to down load from canon new drivers. When I click remove the installShield Wizard pop up and says"Master Set is preparing the Installshield Wizard,;which will guide you through the rest of the setup process. Please wait.
Then the dreaded red X appears and says "An installation support file could not be installed, The system cannot find the file specified"
where/how can I delete the Canon PultiPASS Suite.4.20a from my system?
thanks for your patients. I hope I'm replying in the right window

Hi padre2,

Reinstall the software to get back the missing file, then go thru deletion of the software in Add/Remove.

another problem

Thanks Man
My first broblem was a inoperable cd.drive, so I tried to make a copy of the installation disk via my laptop,on a flash drive. than install setup from the flash drive.Would'nt allow me to copy all the files. (Thought I was allowed to make a backup copy) Is there any other thing I can do( make backup copy from canon disk or delete files from other location) while waiting to fix cd drive?

Hi padre2,

Not sure what "waiting to fix cd drive" means - in the shop or you haven't done it yet? CD drives are inexpensive these days and a new one might be a better deal http://www.newegg.com/Store/Category...-Burners-Media

Can't tell you why it's not allowing you to copy all the files.

You can try a "brute force" uninstall which gets down to you deleting all the files for the Cannon software on the hard drive including the Registry entries. For that you would need to have some idea of what file names to search for.

I would not recommend doing that.
