Mini Wireless cards for Dell 2200?

Hi,

My girlfriend got a Dell 2200 notebook for Christmas. I'm trying to find out what internal "mini" PC wireless cards work in this notebook...

http://forums.us.dell.com/supportfor...ssage.id=39849

...does anyone know if the mini PC slot in the 2200 is an open standard slot? If so what other wireless cards can I put in there? I found a number of cards on ebay...for about 1/3 the cost of Dells internal wireless cards. Any tell me if these are a good deal?

Thanks,
Jeff

Optional: Internal antenna supports Dell 1350 wireless solution (802.11b/g) or Dell 1450 dual band wireless solution (802.11a/b/g) via optional mini wireless card.
I can't find much more detail than this.

If you want to investigate further I would suggest to download the Owner's Manual:
http://support.dell.com/support/edoc...0/en/index.htm
there should(?) be more detail there.

The specs say it has a "Type I or Type II" slot. I would say that you could use your own wireless card.

I don't have much experience with notebooks, maybe this info can help one of the others. If you are still not sure, ask at the Dell Community Forums.

Matt
