video card physically removed still showing in add/remove

my ati video card blew and it was replaced at the shop with a nvidia geforce fx5200 but the ati mach64 display driver is still listed in add/remove and in my start-up in msconfig. i unchecked all of the ati items in start-up and so far no problems(kow) question is can i safely remove the ati?

See the response I gave on the modem question for this. In a nutshell, yes, remove the ATI drivers.
