chassis fan and thermostat connector

Am putting a 80mm chassis fan in a system with a biostar m7viq system board. Having trouble finding the 3 pin connector on the board for the thermostat wire from the chassis fan. Only 3 pin I can find is the wake on lan. Anybody have an idea or is this wire not really needed.

I'm not familiar with that board, but a suggestion is to grab a converter cable and tap straight into a spare output from the PSU. Checking that voltage requirements are met! My side fan and top blower fan were prewired to connect straight to a spare PSU outlet complete with piggyback connectors to allow other drives to be connected as well.

While the adaptor shown in Mattman's will actually have 2 wires going to the fan, it will work. The third wire [yellow] is for RPM monitoring, not needed for fan operation.

The fan has a connector that allows me to connect the power part of the fan to the psu but the other is a yellow one wire connected to a 3 pin plug.

The fan works just fine. Based on Markp62 I guess the yellow wire is not needed.

Thanks.
