AMD 1600+ and KT4 Ultra

I have an MSI KT4 Ultra with an AMD 1600+ and 256Mb of mem. The system worked great , able to overclock to 2000+ specs, but I was running at the 1600+ CPU speed of 1400Meg. AMI BIOS V07.00T updated to MSI v1.4.

I did an MSI auto BIOS update and lost all that capability. Now I can not get the FSB to run higher than 119 meg X 10 with out the system stopping, freeze and shutdown. Also on bootup the system does not recognize the cpu as a 1600+, but only as "AMD Athlon(tm)XP speed 1239MHz. I have the FSB set at 118X10

I have tried to reload Bios a number of times and always get successful indications, still the system does not recognize the 1600+ and the max I can get out of the CPU is 119X10.

Any Ideas will be really appreciated. I have also Asked MSI and AMD for help and received nothing of value.
