Usb 2.0

I have a new computer 2.6 Mhz with USB 2.0 ports.
Can I use my Belkin and IBM hubs that I now use on the older
USB ports or do I have to buy new ones? What is USB 2.0
being used for?

Hi

As far as I am aware you will be able to use your old hubs as USB2 is backward compatible. This will not make your hubs the speed offered by USB2 - you will just have the same speeds as you had before.

You will need to purchase USB2 hubs IF you want to take advantage of the extra speed which is very nice. At least you can still use your hubs for now but I am sure you would like to benefit from the faster USB2 connection at some stage.

Hope this helps

USB 2.0 is backwards compatible. It'll run USB 1.1.
