cannot print from web page

I have just bought a Epson stylus photo 830 printer, I can print articles from word, but when I try to print anything from a web page I get the following error message. An error as occured in the script on this page. Line 596, char 2, error invalid argument, code 0, url res/c;windows\system\shddclc.dll/previous.dlg. So I would be very grateful for any ideas, I am using Windows Me.
Thank you
Taram

taram--If you click OK (or Yes) to the error message can you proceed to print? If yes, I do not think you have a real problem.
Are you sure that error message does not reference "shdoclc.dll "?
I think that message is really not meant for you, but rather for the person that wrote the webpage. Click IE Tools|Internet options|Advanced tab|Browsing section. Make sure "Display a notification about every script error" is unchecked. There is nothing you can do about script errors (unless you are the author of the page), so no point in your getting the message.

Thank you welshjim for your help, I cannot proceed to print when I click on ok, but I will try unchecking the Display a notification about every script error box, to see if that fixes the problem.

Thank you
Taram

taram--The bottom line to brett's suggestion is to uncheck "Enable third party browser extensions" in IE Tools|Internet Options|Advanced tab|Browsing section. It can't hurt to try. But it never was decided if other programs are disabled in the process. However, you can always recheck it if you do not like the results.
Do post back and let us know what happened. Your error message and circumstances are not quite the same as the other fellow's.

They are. I did throw one or two other suggestions into the melting pot too though.
