Interesting Malware Video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5Hdg...ws-64733.shtml

THIS IS NOT P0RN. I repeat not. It is a video from Symantec showing how users can infect themselves.

After being on this forum since 2005, would I really post p0rn? no

Isn't it horrible there are people who get duped into downloading and installing those things. I have a friend at work whose computer I have to clean up at least once a month because he just won't listen to me.

Exclamation Yep

I was duped once from a program crack.

I did not even know about rogue software, until I went looking for an antivirus, typed xp antivirus into google, and all it showed was 'remove xp antivirus'

So now I learned through the microav security center.

I don't feel sorry for people who don't want to learn. But yea, I have friends/family like that. But I only clean their system once. Next time they can go find someone else. That's my price if you don't want to take my advise.

Smile weird or not

I am suprised to see this page in my life.

hxxp://www.softlow.com/xxxxxxxxxx/xp-antivirus-free.html

IF YOU CLICK THE LINK, IT WILL NOT AUTOMATICALLY INSTALL IT, IT WILL TAKE YOU TO SOFTLOW.COM

whether it is the real program or not i dont know.

Maybe someone can try it out for me and update me on their findings.

Sniper, that xp antivirus looks like a rogue security program to me. I wouldn't download it if I were you. BTW that malware video was interesting to watch.

Most definitely rogue; hooked up with Directi, well known rogue registrar associated also with Atrivo\Intercage & Estdomains. They have never had anything of value nor is there any reason to believe there ever will be.

While this may not be resolving properly atm, don't believe for second they won't wind up elsewhere pushing their fraudware.
