My HijackThis log - Please advise

Below is my hijackthis log. I know I have a few spyware programs on my computer that neither adaware nor Spybot have found. I learned about Hijackthis by reading in this forum but I have no clue how or what to clean up. Could someone look at the log and then tell me what and how to clean it up? Thanks

Glad you didn't tackle this one yourself. You have a couple of the harder-to-remove nasties (WinTools is one) on there but the security guys can give you directions for getting rid of them all.

The only part of it I'm comfortable telling you how-to is create a folder for Hijackthis and put the file there. Desktop is not a good place and neither is a temp file. Otherwise, wait for a long recommendation from someone.

First, download Spybot and Ad-aware. Links in my signature. Install, open and immediately update. Run Spybot and delete all it finds that is prechecked. Configure Ad-aware for a custom full scan and run. Delete all it finds. Reboot.

Right click the desktop and choose new>folder. Name it HJT. Right click and cut HijackThis.exe then paste it in the folder. Scan again and post the log.

First I want to apologize for not reading your first post well, and telling you to d/l Spybot and Ad-aware.

Download CWShredder from my sig. Save it to your desktop.

You may want to print this out, or save it to text where you can access it in safe mode.

You are using Kazaa. This is not technically malware by itself, but it installs malware in order to run properly and it opens the door for every other nasty program you can think of. I strongly recommend that you remove it. Read this article for alternatives that will provide some of the same function without the garbage: http://www.spywareinfo.com/articles/p2p/ If you opt to remove it, first use Add/Remove Program to remove it and any reference to Altnet and P2P Networking. Go to your control panel, then to add/remove programs...uninstall P2P networking...If/when asked whether you also want to remove Altnet components, say 'Yes'.
P2P Networking is a totally useless Kazaa add-on, and it's been reported to be responsible for serious system slowdowns. You may also want to run KazaaBegone to completely purge it from the system. Additionally, there is another new 'nasty' virus using P2P networks to spread itself. More here.

OK, the fixing.

Go to start>run and type services.msc. Locate Wintools in the list, right click and stop. Right click again and select properties. Set to disabled and OK out.

Right click My Computer and choose properties. On system restore tab, check the box to turn off. OK out.

Scan again with HijackThis and place a check next to the following entries. Close ALL other windows and click fix.

Open CWShredder, with ALL other windows closed, click fix.

Go to start>run and type msconfig, hit enter. On the boot.ini tab, check the box next to /safeboot and OK. Yes to restart. This will restart your computer in safe mode.

Now in safe mode, open C:\Program Files\Common files and delete the folder WinTools.
Open C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB and rename realsched.exe to realsched.old
Open C:\Windows\Temp, select all and delete.
Open C:\Documents and settings\username\Local Settings\temp, select all and delete. Do this for all usernames.
Open C:\Windows\Prefetch, select all and delete.
Open My Computer and right click Local Disk C:, then choose disk cleanup. Check all except compress old files and OK.
Uncheck the /safeboot box in msconfig and ok to reboot.

Back in Windows, you can re-enable system restore.

Run another HijackThis scan and post the log.

After doing some more investigating, I suspect that it might be related to a network connection and through PM verified that this machine is setup to connect to a corporate/business network. I recommended not to fix it for now. Can anyone confirm that IP addresses beginning with '10' are used for internal networks, and that this may be a legitimate entry? Seems to me that even if it were an internal network IP address, it would resolve to that network, not the IANA.

The IANA collects IP addresses to make available to anyone that might ask, who and where that address belongs to, just as I checked the address in that entry to find out it was theirs. My firewall blocks incoming requests from there quite often with a security risk assessment of HIGH. I really want to stick with my initial gut feeling and recommendation to fix that entry. If you feel comfortable doing so, fix it, and if you are then unable to connect to your business network, open HijackThis, click the config button, then backup. Locate the entry and highlight, then click restore. It will then be like it was never gone and connection shouldn't be a problem. Please, let us know what happens.

First copy HJT into it's own folder, unless you want a bunch of files appearing on your Desktop.
Have all browser windows closed and remove these.
