Under attack! Help

I am under attack for the first time since I started with computers, 1985. I keep getting windows opening advertising all sorts of things. My home page has changed in IE to Blaze Find. I never heard of it. I cleared it out and deleted msbb and optimize from my process screen but when I reboot they come back. I want to get rid of them and then keep the out. More annoying than destructive. Please Help. I have popupcop running and it does not detect these windows.

Sounds like your browser has been hijacked.

Download, immediately update and run Spybot and Ad-aware - links in my signature and delete all they find. This may solve the problem, but if not download and run HijackThis and post the log here for the experts to analyse.

If they're popping up on your desktop, before you even open IE, I'd guess you're running XP and Windows Messenger is running. Kill it.
