Help With AVG

I set my AVG (Free version) to do automatic updates at a certain time every 2 days, but it will not dial up the site for some reason.

I thought this would only work for a computer that is online 24/7, but a friend of mine has dial-up like me, and his AVG will dial-up a connection to the download site automatically!

I have tried to cover all the bases with this...Am I missing something?

Thanks

My System

Hi James,

Open the AVG Control Center and click the Update Manager tab.

Uncheck the 'User confirms dialup connection'.

Hi dopey,
I thought checking that box would enable me to do automatic updates with my dial-up connection?

Happy Holidays.

My System

Hi James,

Sorry, you're right. I clicked on wrong tab. The schedular has to be enabled (Next tab) also.

AVG won't connect if the database is up to date. This is the only other thing I can think of. I tried to see if I could get mine to run auto but my database is up to date.
