Exclamation Microsoft Security: Flaw In Windows Media Player May Allow Media Library Access

Microsoft issued a patch for Windows Media Player 9 Series which contains a flaw that could allow an attacker to read files or run programs on your computer after you viewed a Web page.


Affected Software Versions

* Microsoft Windows Media Player 9

Note: Microsoft Windows Media Player 6.4, 7.1 and Microsoft Windows Media Player for Windows XP (8.0) are not affected.
