Microsoft not loading on any browser

Hi.

My hotmail login page will not load (and hasn't for about 3 days) on IE, firefox nor Safari. I can't guet into my email account by a link or incredimail nor Window Live Mail. I can't connect to Windows Live, Messenger neither.

I have tried upgrading my messenger, IE, firefox, AVG. I updated Spybot, Superantispyware, Malware bytes, Hijackthis, Windows Live Messenger.. I tried to update my computer, but I can't access the microsoft.com website either.

It seems that almost all other internet pages load.

I have tried to change my firewall or proxy settings.
I've done a few other things suggested on websites with no success (in firefox using about:config (I did undo what I've tried!), enabling and disabling http 1.1 settings in IE, had a look at the routeur settings, a lynksis wag200g.

So at first I was able to access my hotmail account on any browser. 3 days ago I suddenly was'nt and was'nt able to update my anti-virus. I upgraded the anti-virus and it worked. I had problems opening Word documents without using safe mode, but the problem suddenly disapeered... Now, I still can't load hotmail + live + microsoft stuff... At first it just didn't load with problems loading page about connectivity, but now it starts loading and it's done one a blank page.

Windows XP Professionnal SP3
IE 8.0.6001.18372
Firefox 3.0.7
Safari 3.2.1
AVG 8.5.278

Any suggestions? Thanks so much. Cheers.

P.S. I runned the Malware byte, Spybot, Superantispyware, AVG scan... they only found some traking cookies...

I believe you are infected anyway.
I would try this. Go to Start\Run, type in CMD and press Enter.
Do this command in the 'dos window'.
ping microsoft.com press Enter
You should see this appear:
Pinging microsoft.com [207.46.232.182] with 32 bytes of data:
It doesn't matter if you see the messages about results timing out.
Then do this one;
ping windowsupdate.microsoft.com press Enter
You should see this appear:
Pinging windowsupdate.microsoft.nsatc.net [207.46.18.94] with 32 bytes of data:
Again it doesn't matter if you see the messages about results timing out.
What this does is see if your computer is doing a proper DNS lookup as if you are actually trying to get to those sites with a browser. If anything else appears other than what I have in blue, you got a problem.

Thanks! I'll try to post again the thread under malware-virus removal since I got this:

Ping statisics for 207.46.197.32:
Packets: sent = 4, received = 0, lost = 4 (100% loss)

and

Ping statistics for 207.46.225.221:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100%)

I remember that I've done this yesterday with the same results...

I only copy paste in the other forum? (oups! not forum, but topic!)

Thanks a lot for quick answer.

I tried those IP's and this is what I got.
207.46.197.32 = http://www.microsoft.com/en/us/default.aspx
207.46.225.221 = Windows Update Page
But you still aren't getting there.
Maybe you should open a dos window, and do this command to flush out your DNS cache and renew your internet connection.
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew

The removal forum is still a good idea.

Thanks again, but still not working...

I think I did this before by repairing the connexion from the connexion properties and by the Window Live Troubleshooter, right?

But did it in DOS this time as you suggested.

So I'll move to malware,

So many thanks again for sympathic assistance... and quick! :0)
