In the last two weeks, we have had many emails returned from one account a client. The note says that our IP Address has a bad reputation. Our IP is Bell South. This barracuda Network org was apparantly installed by our client and now we can not send them emails from our Eudora program. I am able to send them emails from Yahoo account?

    Any ideas?

    thanks

I'm not sure what a Barracuda Network is, but have your clients tried making some changes to allow your mail to come?

    Hi moco123

To look deeply at you system:

    D/L RSIT http://images.malwareremoval.com/random/RSIT.exe

Run it post both logs here.

Get the below install and update and run

    D/L Xclean_Micro http://www.xblock.com/download/xclean_micro.exe
No install, run it delete all it finds decline to reboot on each item found, until the program finishes then reboot.

Xclean will run minimized and will pop up a window if it finds anything. If it finds nothing it will exit.
    =========================================
    Next:

Get the below install and update and run then post log

    http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

If it found much then reboot to Safe Mode and run it again then paste new log for this run when back to normal mode!

    As explained on that page:

he "poor" reputation may have been caused by one of the following reasons:
    • Your email server contains a virus and has been sending out spam.
    • Your email server may be misconfigured.
    • Your PC may be infected with a virus or botnet software program.
    • Someone in your organization may have a PC infected with a virus or botnet program.
    • You may be utilizing a dynamic IP address which was previously utilized by a known spammer.
    • Your marketing department may be sending out bulk emails that do not comply with the CAN-SPAM Act.
    • You may have an insecure wireless network which is allowing unknown users to use your network to send spam.
    • In some rare cases, your recipient's Barracuda Spam Firewall may be misconfigured.

In case you didn't notice I made a post to possibly clean or diag your problem!

If as Arie mentioned you have a Dynamic WAN IP from your ISP that was used at one time by a Spamer or other Virus/Malware broadcaster then do the below.

    Go to http://www.canyouseeme.org

It will display your current WAN IP. Make a note of it.

Now turn off your DSL/Cable Modem for 10 minutes.

After you turn it back on (if you have a Dynamic IP and are lucky) you can go back to canyouseeme and see if you have a new IP.

If so and you have new IP then recheck for the problem with Barracuda.

10 minutes may not be enough time for someone else to grab your disconnected IP so you may have to call your ISP and request they reset it.

If you are going to do my 1st procedure then do it and post before the above.

Well if it is not fixed and you still have a problem!

It has not fixed itself up to this point!

Up to you if you want it fixed!

Did the new IP fix it or not?
