I recently downloaded SP3 so I don't know if that is the problem. But I always was able to stay logged in all of the time on certain pages (such as; iGoogle and my Hotmail account. All of a sudden all of the pages I visit on a regular basis always ask for my username and password! This just started recently and I haven't messed with any of my settings such as cookies and what not.

The info is stored in cookies...Many spyware/malware removal softwares have options to remove cookies...Did you recently make any changes with that kind of software?

    Spyware Terminator, I bet

I don't have it on real time running but I do have it and run a scan from time to time. Do you think that is the problem?
As for the versions of IE and Firefox I am using. I am using IE7 and Firefox 2.0.0.14.
Thanks for the warm welcome to the forum and the fast response! :)

Also you should check to see that your browsers are not set to clear cookies on exit. The setting would be in Tools>Internet Options for IE and Tools>Options>Privacy for FireFox.

    Thanks John

I am extremely sorry I didn't get back to you right away. I get distracted easily and I had purchased a PC game called Roller Coaster Tycoon Platinum and any free moment I have goes to that!

ANYHOW, back to what our discussion was, I had already tried checking how my cookies preferences were set and they are fine. And many other websites I can stay logged in to for weeks sometimes.

Any other ideas? Thanks so much for all your help!

When I first switched to SuperAntiSpyware, it zapped cookies to some regular site. I had to add them to "trusted sites. "
