Cute FTP Professional wont connect to IpowerWeb hosting
Hi folks,
For the last year now, I have been using two computers in the same house, to upload files. I mainly use the computer in my bedroom (gateway 1700 mhts, 640 meg ram, 60Gig/140Gig harddrives, Win ME) to upload my website files, which are of a small nature.
When I upload large files, I use the computer in my lounge, to do this overnight, as the noise from the computer in bedroom would keep me awake. (Medion 8383 computer 3400 mhtz, Win XP, 512 Meg Ram, 250 GIg harddrive).
Both computers have used Cute FTP Professional version 7, and have worked flawlessly. They also bothe have AVG Anti virus, Ad-Aware, and Spybot.
About a month ago, I upgraded the lounge-room computer to broadband, where now my CUTE FTP won't connect to my server. I've looked at the faq, where it said to make an exception in your firewall, at ports 20 and 21, which I have done, but still get nowhere.
I have no routers
My bedroom computer still works fine, but is on dial-up, and don't want to change that, (for at least this is still working).
Cute FTP goes through it's Log which ends with a dialog box error message, "The control connection was closed due to the server being temporarily busy, full, or in the process of shutting down. Retry again later or contact the system administrator for assistance. Click Details>> to see the exact server response."
AND, then these are the details, the actual log file......

I have the same program on my bedroom computer, installed the same way (typical), and it works fine.
Apologies for the long post, but wanted to include as much info as I can. Please note that the xxx denotes private personal information.
Thanks

The above indicates that your FTP software is either:
NOT using passive mode transfers and when passive mode is required, or the reverse:
your software IS using pasive mode when it not required.
