My laptop operates on Windows XP. I have used wireless to connect to the internet in numerous locations with no trouble. I just returned from vacation where I used wireless in a number of places. The last one was a secure network for which I had to enter a code provided to me. Since I've been home I get the message "Unable to connect to preferred wireless network "
when I try to connect. The wireless switch on the computer is on and view networks in range shows two networks.

If I click "repair" in the wireless dialog that has "view wireless networks" I get the message:

Windows could not finish repairing the problem because the following action cannot be completed:
    Connecting to the wireless network

    Any suggestions?

Sorry about that. I have it working now. I went to network connections, right clicked, clicked properties, then the wireless connections tab. I looked around but didn't think I changed anything. In any case, after that I was able to connect. I'll never understand computers!
