I am frustrated and need some input on a problem I am having with creating stationery in OE5.5. I like to use my own pictures to create stationery and I always save my pics in jpg format. I am assuming that when I make them in OE that it saves as HTM or HTML. That is what the properties say when I check them out. My problem is that when I send this newly created stationery to anyone in my address book, I get a lot of replies back that nothing is showing in their mail. Sometimes I put color in the body and change the font along with the picture I made. They see that, but not the picture I put with it. Why???? I can send the default stationery that came with the program and they see everything in that ok. I'm just not understanding why my created stationery, all of a sudden, is not displaying right at the other end. I don't remember having this problem when I first got this computer or when I upgraded from version 4 to 5.1 to 5.5. I have a general knowledge of how HTML is supposed to work and I know for a fact that the receivers have it set up to receive HTML and I have mine set up to send that way. What am I missing here?
Help for most Outlook Express problems can be found at this site Since version 5 Outlook Express is bundled with IE and running IE repair will correct most problems.
Just wanted to get back to you all and let you know my problem is fixed! It would seem that you need the option Send Pictures with Message checked in order for your created images to send with the stationery. I had assumed (ouch!) at one time that if that was checked then when you sent an attachment, it would also show in the body of the message and I didn't see that as neccessary. This is not really the case. It needs this link to know where to find the picture you set up with the wizard so it can show it in the stationery. Hope this helps for any one else out there who likes to use stationery occassionally and knows what to look for now.
