Hello. Im using a dial-up modem and XP Pro. Everytime I try to download any type of file, the "Download Complete" dialog box appears eventhough the download is incomplete. Hence, I cannot run the file. The problem did not happen before. Until recently it occured maybe around 1 out of 4 download attempts. But now now it happens all the time. I already tried using 3 different modems. Any ideas out there? Its really frustrating.

Do you have an anti-virus program set to run in the background, specifically set to scan all downloaded files automatically and/or set to block scripts? If so, disable it and try another download.

Is downloading disabled in Internet Explorer (if that's what you're using)? IE>Tools>Internet Options>Security Tab>Custom button, make sure "Enabled" is checked under Download.

If none of that works, do you get an error message when you try to open the downloaded file? If so, what's the exact message?
