I'm trying to look at some of my archived Outlook XP files.

If the archived .pst file is under 2Gb in size, outlook will open it fine. Just a matter of pointing to it.

If you have an archive that is 2Gb or larger, outlook will be unable to open it. Microsoft has a utility that will recover some/most of the contents but usually some will have been destroyed or damaged beyond repair. Go Here for more information on this and a link to download the repair utility you'll need.
