My laptop came with windows 8.1 pre-installed, including a mail programme called , simply, <Mail> . I successfully installed my spare or alternative e-mail address, but can't find out how to instal another ( my main e-mail account ). The instructions I get from Help on the machine, or elsewhere, talk about clicking on <Account> . But there is no such button. There is a plus sign , but that is for creating a new message , not a new account.
There seems to be a distinction between Windows Mail, and Windows Live Mail ? I have the one, and all the instructions relate to the other . Or am I jumping to wrong conclusions ?
Whatever, how to add another mail account in what I have got, is the question- please .
By the way, replies, sent to the address I want, get read on another machine ( a Mac)

You need Windows Live Mail which doesn't come with 8 or 8.1 unless they just started it with 8.1. Go to http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-live/essentials It is called Windows Essentials and has other things with it that you can choose to take or not take. I took them all. They are easy to uninstall if you don't want them later.

Glad to help. I like it. Kind of like Outlook and OE mixed together. :)
