    hello,

when we fill the any form online or registering somewhere online we need to fulfill all our details .While filling the form we press the "Tab" button from the keyboard to move one step down to the other query.
example after filling our name in the Name box we press the "Tab" button to move to the Surname box and again press 'tab' to move further down to email box to enter the email ID .Is there any button or any shortcut on keyboard with which we could move one step up from below(as we use 'tab' to move down) say from email id box I wan't to go back to surname box,so is there any shortcut ( not mouse definately ) to go one step back???

    thanks

I can field this one from experience. There are some data entry positions where it's just much, much easier to never have to touch the mouse. It breaks your rhythm and ruins your productivity. I did some database entry in my past life, and if I had to pick up a mouse, that would just blow the whole thing up as far as getting that batch of records entered.

Maybe some database people can mouse around successfully... But I can't remember anyone where I worked last who could manage that task.

Sure, but we're talking of a small online form here - not a major database - and a one off entry to boot :)

I had to re-read his question. :p I thought he meant they were using a web interface for data entry, instead of entering data on a web page. (How nuanced!)
