Hi MC, Happy or unhappy it's all over and the people have spoken. We in NZ have to vote Saturday 8th. We've had a female running the ship for the last 9 years and there's not a lot keeping us afloat at the moment. She's got a Degree in Politics and her Finance Minister has a Degree in History - so it's time for a change. I personally hope we get a man to run Government and steer us through the troubled times. Cheers Neil.

I wanted McCain to win but it looks like that isn't going to happen. I think that having Obama as the first black president is a huge step forward for African Americans and it shows that this country is constantly going through changes. As long as Obama fixes as many of the countries problems as he can and his policies don't affect me personally then I don't have a problem with him being in office.

Call me naive but is racism a big problem over there? Normally I don't bother about anyones politics apart from the UK, especially Scotland's, but the BBC and ITV have been ramming Obama and McCain's campaigns down our throats for weeks now.

Yes we still have racism issues in the USA.

A stupid part of our population is wondering why Obama hasn't been assonated yet for the simple reason he isn't white.

A sad state of affairs, though I must admit we have similar problems in Scotland, it does seem to have lessened over the last couple of decades though but since I'm on the right side of the fence I can't state that as a matter of fact.

My opinion is we're all born equal (with nothing but a family) and we should all be treated as equal.

Obama made a lot of promises that he may or may not be able to keep. We'll have to wait and see what happens.

Racism is for morons.
