Unhappy can sytem restore old deleted files?

can using "system restore" restore old files that a registry cleaner deleted? i think some reg files were deleted. i'd like to go back 6 wks. my pages are loading slower now. i've used a couple of reg cleaners so i have no idea how to find the backup files. this is the only reason that i can come up with as to why the pages are slower to load. THANX for your time/help.

It depends on the file type. If it is a .doc or something like that then it will only get restored if it was in the recycle bin on the date you select to restore. See here for a list of monitored extensions.

Which OS are you using?

Yes, system restore will reset the registry to the point of the restore.
Odds are, you won't have a restore point from six weeks ago.

And stop using reg cleaners...As you've seen, they can cause more problems then they fix.
