i have a cd-rw burner which i have not used in years.
Do cds for it need formatted ?? i remember formatting 3 1/4 floppys, but do not know how to format cd's!!!!
also i was tod that they can only be read by the 'burner that made them.. yes or no !!
i forgot to mention these Sony CD's are in Green label,if that means anything. I believe you, and do not wish to start an argument, but it seems when i bought them 4 years ago with Pacific Digital burner that he told me they were only readable on burner thast made them. that was in a different town, and i do not know the Staples store clerks name anymore
yes i am a hard headed Yankee of German/Irish descent(which you may be thinking.)
If I remember correctly, in old days (I guess, it was my Win98 computer burner), it required CDRWs to be formatted, first (I'm not sure about CDRs), and they could be formatted two ways. One, CD could be read only on the very same computer, and second option, readable on any computer.
my brain is fried from that modem episode
Right now i can not even findDevice Manager
but looking at CDRW E drive properties Hardware tab there is a ST340810A also listed besides D and E drive, looking around there is a dropdowntab at bottom enabled disabled, i think it was disabled
under device Manager there is + or - DVD/CDrom drives
i dropped it down and found two
1 ATAPI CDROM48X
2 CDWRITER IDE 5224 ,PROPERTIES, GENERAL TAB at bottom is enable/disable
