    Hello to All

Would one of you be so kind as to detail the process of inserting "screenshot" into an email.

Been hacking away with little or no success.

    Thanks very much.

    regards. Captjim

    Hi Captjim,

Open the Mail & Newsgroups window
    Edit|Mail & Newsgroup Settings
In the right hand panel scroll to the bottom and select:
    Compose Messages in HTML Format

    Edit|Preferences|Mail & Newsgroups|Send Format
    Select either:
    Ask me what to do
Send the message in both plain text and HTML

When you are ready to compose your email click on the Insert tab
    Select Insert|Image
Then browse to your file on the HD, or where you have it stored

Let us know if you have more questions.

    Ramona,

Thanks for the reply, apparently you have to save the "screenshot" to an image file and then insert the image file as you said.

I guess that you can not "paste' it directly into the email.

(I used "Irfan" and resized the image, saved as BMP and inserted the "Image ".

    Worked for me...........

    Any other suggestions ?

    Regards.

    Hi Captjim,

You can copy an image/screenshot from the HD and paste it into your email.

Right click and "Copy" the file from the HD, and when you click in the body of the email, use CTRL+V to paste, as the "Paste" option is greyed out on right click.

Yes, I use IrfranView also, and save my screenshots as .jpg files.

    Hello captjlddavis,
You don't have to change the e-mail format to HTML to insert screenshot.

You can simply insert the screenshots as attachements. (However this method will not have the screenshots inline with your text, it will show up at end of the e-mail OR as an attachement)

I recommend save the screenshot to GIF (small one) or JPEG (large one at 80% quality)

I don't have IrfranView, not sure about the settings, but if possible, select the "better quality" one.
