    Vista 32/64 bit, SP1

Latest version seems to be crashing a lot more than previous version.
Normally during the first click of the mouse (bookmarks, links etc) it will
crash. After starting firefox again, it seems OK.
    Anyone else having this condition?

    thanks,
    savagcl

Do you mean v.3.5.3? What did you use before?
Unfortunately, I cannot make a direct comparison, as I use XP SP3, but I use both 3.0.14 and 3.5.3, with two different profiles, and neither one crashes.
One test would be to reinstall your Firefox, first (without uninstalling). Another one would be to create, and use a different profile.

Majority of crashes are caused by AddOns. Start FF in its Safe Mode and see if immediately crashes. If all OK, then start FF in its normal mode & disable addons one by one...repeat...until FF doesn't crash. Then don't use that particular addon.

    Hello..
According to me I think this problem is only occurring with you only. I don't have any problem with Firefox. I think you should start your Firefox in normal and safe mode. You should also be sure about your network connections that your network is working good or not.
