Thunderbird Main Menu Bar Disappeared

A friend installed Thunderbird and while setting-up his options, he did something that made the entire main menu bar (File, Edit, View, etc.) disappear.

Does anyone know how to get it back? Thanks.

The most common rreason is due to the fact that one clicks on the furthest left of the toolbar, making it disappear. There may be something below all the toolbar that clicked on will restore it. My Theme does not give me the problem. By the way, I don't know if the top toolbar can be made to disappear. Otherwise, I would try to reinstall the program. The profile would not be affected, and of course, if that failed, I would try a new profile.

Westside:

I had him try both Alt-V and Alt-T without success. Also tried right-clicking in the area where the bar should be (hoping to get View or Toolbars and then Configure to activate "Reset to Defaults) but no luck there either.

We will go the route of reinstalling to move on -- just thought I'd check to see if anyone had a unique solution before doing so. Thanks for the reply.
