Did you try power cycle your modem? Any router involved? Desktop, or laptop?
    What type of internet connection?

This sounds a computer problem, not a browser, so installing and reinstalling would not help. I don't know what would be the effect of a router or modem.
I suppose that you mean with IE?
Have you tried to contact the ISP? Don't even mention Firefox. Tell them only about IE.
