Recently, I've been getting messages in Firefox about needing to update Flash Player. This always throws me into a bit of a tizzy, as I'm never sure how to go about it - do I do it from the Firefox Add-ons page, or do I simply install the latest version available from Adobe's Flash Player page?

I know I have to uninstall my existing version first - but again, is this something I do specifically from Firefox, or from Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs?

    Thanks!

    Thank you, Pete!
I'm now all up to date, and it wasn't even the traumatic ordeal I'd anticipated!

Firefox looks for the plugins, at least in most cases, so there is no need to have plugins there. In fact, it may be detrimental. This is, especially, true of the Flash.
