I have recently had to replace my computer. I am running XP and using Netscape 7.2. I need to transfer my old mail files and settings, addresses,...etc from my old PC to my new PC. I have installed NS 7.2 on my new PC and I have created a new mail profile but I am not sure which files to move in order to restore my mail files and folders. Any help would be kindly appreciated.
Thanks,
Cdr.

I followed the process and I must be doing something wrong. Here are the steps that I took:
Installed Netscape 7.2 on the new PC
Created a new profile on the new PC
Took a backup of the old mail folder and all sub folders
Configured the mail client settings
Tested the operation of the mail client to be able to send/recieve mail
Copied the entire Profile directory from the backup and restored it over top of the new PC
copied the old address book over to the new profile
I then open the Netscape mail client and noticed that the old address book had been restored but I could not see the files in the mail folder from the old PC. I did go into each of the mail folders and deleted the files with the .msf extension. I am not sure what I did wrong. Any help resolving this would be greatly appreciated.
#1. Copied the entire Profile directory from the backup and restored it over top of the new PC
#2. copied the old address book over to the new profile
The second item is correct. Not sure why or what you did for the first one.
You should have copied the contents of the xxxx.slt folder, and not the entire Profile directory. Follow the directions from Ramona's website
