The download link is this: https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=129464

I tried it, and, I hope that I can get rid of it, because it preloads the last version of Firefox which I used. I have 1.5.0.11 and 2.0.0.3 installed. The latter is default, and I have both versions pointing to their respective profile. It so happened that I had used 1.5.0.11 last. Now the preloader will launch only the 1.5.0.11 profile. Right now, I am using 2.0.0.3, but it has my 1.5.0.11 bookmarks, and toolbars. I hope that the preloader, which is external did not mess things up. I could use either 1.5.0.11 or 2.0.0.3 with no problem.
Otherwise, the preloader does not seem to accomplish much after restarting the computer. It takes as long as ever to load 2.0.0.3, and with the wrong profile.
Maybe, it would work with a single installation/profile.
    Unloading the preloader restores sanity.

I understood that at the beginning, however, having two profiles, it does not work, and, for some reason the profile of 1.5 is selected. It is possible that I had used 1.5 last, but one of the features of the preloader in the systray included the location of the Firefox install. That is grayed out. The 2.0.0.3 is installed at that location, while 1.5 is elsewhere. So, that preloader is targeting a profile, and not the program. May be they can do something about it. I report my finding at the download site. Also, I may uninstall 1.5.0.11.

FF Preloader does, indeed, seem to speed up the loading process, even on the initial opening of FF. Normally, on initial opening, my FF takes about six or seven seconds to load. FF Preloader speeds that up to four seconds, and subsequent openings take two seconds.

And, Westside seems to be correct about the Preloader targeting a profile, even though it indicates that it targets the executable.

But, and this is a biggie, I've discovered two very good reasons not to use the program: with FF Preloader installed,
FF's Profile Manager cannot be opened.

FF cannot be opened in Safe Mode.
    'Nuff said.
