Cannot Log in

    When I try to log in via FIREFOX to certain websites, the type that require a username & password, to get some personal information (eg. look at a phone bill) the websites starts to load the log in details but do not complete. The websites then show the username and password spaces as blank.
    This happens despite FIREFOX being set to allow all cookies.

    However, if I log in via Microsoft IE the websites always accept the log in details and show me the info.

    It could be effect of some extention/addon. As a test try to start Firefox, in safe-mode, with extentions and themes disabled.
    By the way, which version Firefox?

    I have had this log in problem with versions
    1.5.0.8; 1.5.0.9 and 2.0.0.1.

    How do I operate Firefox in safe mode?

    Start|Run|(browse to firefox.exe, and then) append with -safe-mode
    You should have a keyboard space before the -. Also, and much easier Start|All Programs|Mozilla Firefox|Mozilla Firefox Safe Mode.

    I've tried safer mode but I still can't log in on some websites
