Firefox Tips Needed.

I have just downloaded Firefox. Before I install it and go on-line with it for the first time, what advice/tips ( re: security, functionality) would you give? Having only used IE, what misconceptions/ misunderstandings might I have while initially using Firefox? Thanks.

I don't think that anyone can be in your mind, but I can tell you that firefox1.5.0.4 can do what IE does, since it has small files, called extentions, which can be used to make it do what IE does. IE has a running start, since it is part of the operating system, but Firefox can do all you need. I do windows Updates and use Microsoft websites, with the help of the IE Tabs extention.
Just tried as it is, get acquainted with the meaning and location of the settings. It is not IE, so don't expect to find everything in the same place.
As for security, it is, generally, ahead of IE, and it has incremental updates if any serious weaknesses are found.
