I have been a user of Thunderbird from early on and it has worked well...that is until my brother-in-law asked me why he cannot see the Sent, Trash, Unsent, Drafts folders on his bootup screen.
When he starts Thunderbird it goes straight into his "Inbox "

I assumed it would be easy to get it look similiar to my own Thunderbird .. with a Local Folders display etc. but I have failed to get it working and I know there has to be a way.
My apologies if this is duplicate question but I've searched for a similar problem solution without success.....Please help.

If you have a single account, and there is a + to the left of the name, you will not see any folder displayed, but, you will go directly into the Inbox headers.
By default, the header are on the 3/4 part of the page, and the list of the accounts are on the 1/4 part on the left. The moment you click on the plus, it will expand the list of folders. I have always seen it expanded, for the first account. The next accounts (if you have them are contracted), by default.
I see eleven extra accounts, plus Local folders, and news accounts, if any. I, always hide the Message Pane, so the Configuration is like that Option|Tools|General, except that I have only two parts.
By the way, it is exactly, the same that it has been, at least, in Netscape6/7 or Mozilla ( and, Seamonkey).

Thanks for the reply....I got it sorted.....I feel so stupid as all I had to do was pull the LHS of the Inbox to the right and the Local Folders column came into view!
    Thanks again
