To transfer my 7.2 email over to XP from W2K, I simply installed the old disk drive to the new machine, changed the plug to make it a slave and rebooted ... works fine and you can easily copy files over to XP.
However, I find XP is not accepting/recognizing any email after November 2003. Soooooo ... I put the disk drive back in my old computer, and all the emails are still on the file.
What's magic about Nov. 2003? Is that when I upgraded from NS 7.1 to 7.2?
The problem is universal ... same thing in every folder.
Any suggestions anyone?

Are you manually copying the Mail files without the MSF extension to the new Mail Account folder? Example: Inbox, Drafts, Templates, Sent, etc. Or are you trying to Import from the OLD HD?
If you have mail in the new Mail Account, then be advised that copying the files from the OLD HD to the new Mail Account will overwrite the existing Mail. To avoid this, rename the Mail files on the OLD HD: OldInbox, or Inbox2, etc. Do the same for all the files. If you have subfolders, then copy all folders with an SBD extension, after deleting all MSF files within the folders.
Since you have a new machine and starting out fresh, you should seriously consider upgrading to either Firefox and Thunderbird, or Mozilla 1.7.8. Netscape 7.1 and 7.2 have bugs, security vulnerabilities, and soon to become obsolete.
OK ... I downloaded Firefox and Thunderbird as you suggested.
I renamed my 7.2 files on the C drive so those folders are clear.
However, I want to import the information from my E drive .... my old HD out of my old computer.
Unfortunately, FF and TB don't give me that option ... it wants to automatically import the files from 7.2 on the C drive.
Do I need to just copy the files from the E drive to FF & TB? Seems like there should be a better way. If I delete 7.2 from the C drive ... will I be asked where the program can find 7.2?
I would manually copy the Mail files from E to C. Copy only the files without the MSF extension, remembering to rename them if you have set up your Mail account, and received Mail in Thunderbird.
Ensure that you have exited both programs before the edit.
