migrating files to a new computer

I'm about to set up a new computer and want to use my address book and mail from my current netscape v. 7.02. I've read about moving the information from my current profile (in http://home.att.net/~cherokee67/ns7pctopc.html) but I don't have C:\Windows\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles on my computer (running Win 98). Any advice?

Thanks,
Ken

My System

Hi Ken,

Do a Windows "Find" for *.slt. That should take you to your salted subfolder of the Profiles Name folder.

Start | Find | Files or Folders
Then type in: *.slt

The Address book name is: abook.mab
You only need to copy the folders without an "msf" extension from your Mail folder. That would be: Inbox, Drafts, Templates, etc.

You should back up (make a copy) of your entire Profiles folder and copy it to your storage media before doing anything. In the event something goes wrong, your Profile is safely tucked away.
