How do I disable Shockwave one installed, and turn it on only when needed?

    Hi Labarum,

Either rename the plugin, or move it out of the plugins folder temporarily.

    npSWF32.dll
    ShockwavePlugin.class
    np32dsw.dll
    and
    flashplayer.xpt
    This file found in:
    C:\Program Files\Netscape\Netscape\components

If you mean Shockwave Flash (usually .swf files) have a look here.

    Thanks Lee,

I hate those extensions, so I really pay little attention to them. This might very well be what Labarum wants.

You're welcome, Ramona. Yes, hope this is what he wants.

I always read about what other people have to say before I try any extensions. This particular one does not have very favourable reviews. The one I like most is the clock.

I also make sure I have a good clean image backup before I install any extensions because some of them can't be uninstalled. Another way to remove extensions would be an uninstall of Mozilla, remove whatever files related to the extensions in the Profile folders and reinstall Mozilla.

    That extension works wonderfully.

I hope it becomes a stanard feature.

    Thanks all.
