I repeatedly receive the same email: Welcome to Netscape Communicator from M A R C _
I repeatedly receive the same email: Welcome to Netscape Communicator from M A R C _ A N D R E E S S E N. (see below)
I get this email about every month and I usually get between two and twenty of them.
They are all dated Mon, 02 Jun 1997 12:00:00-0800.
I am using version 4.7.
One strange thing is that one time I wasn't even online when I received them.
Any help finding out why I get these emails and how to stop them would be appreciated.
Jeff

Welcome and thank you!
Netscape Communicator is the result of innovation, hard work, and your input. It represents our commitment to making it easier for you to access, communicate,
and share information, no matter what kind of computer you have.
One of my favorite examples of this is Netscape Messenger, an advanced Internet mail client that brings the richness of the Web to your email. At Netscape, we use
Web-based mail to work smarter and faster. For example, our Human Resources department emails a benefit enrollment form to all new employees. Employees
then submit the form via our intranet, eliminating the paper chase. Check out a similar email form in your Samples message folder.
Another way you can take advantage of Messenger's rich Web-based email is with In-Box Direct. This free service lets you choose brand-name content from more
than 80 providers. The content ranges from business news to sports scores, from travel specials to gardening tips, and it's delivered automatically to your email
in-box.
Messenger can help you communicate more effectively:
* add impact to your messages with fonts, colors, bulleted lists, and tables
* spell check your messages
* manage mail with filters and folders
* read and reply to mail and Internet discussion groups while off-line
drop and drag images from Web pages

Thanks for choosing Netscape!

I have not seen the message since the first time I set up Netscape.
I, routinely, uncheck the Messanger Start Page line in Preferences|Mail News.
In addition, I pull the shade down ( No preview)
